Not every queer person in real life is good, a lot of them are terrible just like there are good and bad cishet people. Yeah I’m completely fine with queer characters who aren’t good people too. I also appreciated that Sean could turn down Cassidy’s advances for those that want an aro/ace gameplay or if you just don’t want to explore this part of the story/don’t think the relationships are a good match. I also don’t think Sean should be getting into any serious relationship in his situation, but at his age exploring his sexuality (not even necessarily in the queer sense, just that coming of age period) is gonna be a big thing that I was interested in seeing play out. Yeah, the game is of course centred on Sean and Daniel’s relationship and the romance is very secondary to that. I accepted to join in the heist once Cassidy and I found Finn and Daniel already there, which was after I “spent the night” with Cassidy. Keep playing, the importance of those characters depends on your decisions Obviously please no spoilers for the last two episodes unless it’s to tell me that Cassidy and Finn. I totally understand the dislike for Finn, he's not a saint, but I think you nailed it with the word "explore", Sean is not in the right context to start a serious relationship and the main focus of the game is the brotherhood and the development of Sean and Daniel in the world, that is why the romance on this occasion is handled in a lighter and almost improvised way than in the previous titles, they're only there for that, to experience Sean's sexuality and there is also the option of not experiencing anything at all (which I appreciate) now personally i'm fine with queer characters with gray morals, i think people that expect queer characters to always be good and having plot armor is almost as bad as the counterpart tropes. I want to be able to have Sean explore his sexuality and unfortunately Finn is the only option for that. if you agree to join the heist the second time, you kiss Finn and then go swimming with Cassidy and ( if you have accepted her advances and you lie to her about participating in the heist xd) you can kiss her too, of course she finds out later that you lied and she gets mad at you, if you have the need to play double that is the only way :v I wanted to explore a bi Sean by romancing both Cassidy and Finn. It’s a shame it couldn’t be explored with Penny instead since he’s a nicer character.Īlso, obviously please no spoilers for the last two episodes unless it’s to tell me that Cassidy and Finn don’t show up again and that any romance with Finn is impossible now (he’s still alive in my play btw).Įdit: okay who’s the Finn stan that’s been downvoting all the comments lol Is it possibly to romance both like with Max kissing both Warren and Chloe? Or am I just forced to have a straight Sean now (which I really don’t want)? I hope both characters continue to be in the series, and even though I don’t like Finn that much as a character and think he’s bad for Daniel I still want to be able to have Sean explore his sexuality and unfortunately Finn is the only option for that. It feels a little homophobic that the gays make bad choices and live dangerously and don’t think straight (pun unintended). I’m a bit disappointed that it’s so easy to pursue the straight romance but the queer one has you making bad choices to achieve it. I wanted to explore a bi Sean by romancing both Cassidy and Finn, but only succeeded in romancing Cass. I lightly googled to see how to get that and it seems the only way is to immediately go along with his plan? So I just finished playing Episode 3 and saw there was an option for a kiss between Sean and Finn.
